A/C Maintenance Tips for Your Ford Vehicle

In our last two blog posts we explored quicks facts and usage tips to remember about your Ford's air conditioning unit. Now, we are going to focus on the last part of our series: the proper maintenance of your A/C so that you can stay cool while you drive and be reassured that your A/C is running efficiently.

Don’t delay in thinking about the maintenance of your Ford’s air conditioning unit. Before you hit the road:

  • Follow your car’s periodic maintenance schedule for when the cabin air filter should be replaced. Never just remove the filter – always replace it.
  • If your vehicle isn’t getting as cool as usual, or if the cooling is inconsistent, make sure you bring it to Ford of Clermont right away.
  • After several years in service, it is entirely possible some refrigerant may escape from the A/C system in your car, resulting in the system not working as well as it once did. The only way to restore the system back to peak operating condition is to have the remaining refrigerant removed and a proper quantity of refrigerant added. It is best to have this work done right here at Ford of Clermont because we use only original replacement parts and supplies for your vehicle.
Remember that taking the proper steps to service and maintain your vehicle will help your Ford stay in great condition for the long term. A properly maintained vehicle lasts longer and runs more efficiently than one that isn't maintained.
